Sophie Giggles

I will be posting pictures of Christmas shortly, but in the mean time, here is a little video of Sophie giggling.  I wish my voice wasn't so loud so you could hear her better but it's still cute.  Love this girl!

Such a Blessing

We blessed Sophie this past Sunday and it was such a neat day.  The blessing was very sweet, she had lots of supportive family, she looked darling and she was an angel all through Sacrement meeting.  Grandma Lisa bought her beautiful dress and Mimi made her adorable headband.  What a lucky girl to have such great grandmas!

After everyone left she got in her comfy cozy's and relaxed for a while with dad.  She would have put a bow in her hair had she known I was going to take a picture.  Sorry Soph.
We love this sweetest girl ever!!

Choo Choo! Look who turned TWO!

We went up to "This is the Place" park and rode the train.  It was the middle of the day in the middle of the week so of course we were the only ones there.  Brock loved the train so much.  He cried when we left...for several minutes.

Look at that smile.  Pure bliss.

One of Grandma Lisa's famous creations.  She made a Thomas cake for Brock, he LOVED it.  We had a train party for him that night for all of our family it was a lot of fun!
Yes we got him a train.  From the moment he wakes up in the morning until he goes to bed at night- all he wants to do is play with his Thomas train, watch his Thomas dvds, read his Thomas stories, color in his Thomas coloring book, sing songs about Thomas or talk about Thomas.  The kid is obsessed.

Brock had all of his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins there except for the Blacks who were only there in spirit. :)  Everyone spoiled him to death he seriously doesn't need anything for Christmas now.  It's just as well because now that he's two all he's getting is a lump of coal anyway.  JK we love this kid so much, he is the light of our lives.  He seriously makes our home such a happy place, I can't imagine life without him and wonder how boring it must of been before he came along.  He talks so well and says some pretty cute things, I'll just list a few:
  • "Hi mommy, what are you doing up here?" (he just says that randomly)
  • "Yeah, sure, ok, alriiiight!" (when asked if he wants something..or if he asks for something he'll answer for us)
  • "Thank you mommy, you're welcome" (when he gets what he wants)
  • "Where'd Sopie go?" (everytime I put her down for a nap)
  • "Papa fix it train!!" ( he used to say this 50 times a day before we bought him his train because my parents have a train at their house that was broken and my dad fixed it...and apparantly that was the most amazing thing EVER)
He says a million other things in a day but those are the ones that he repeats the most.  I wish I had room and time to write every funny thing he says but I'll just share a recent one:
Yesterday we were all driving in the car and Luke and I were in the front seat talking when I hear Brock in the back seat do a dramatic smelling sniff and then in a sighing voice say "Strawberries".  Haha!!  At the end of Toy Story 3 the garbage man picks up a stuffed animal and does that.  So funny.  We love you crazo mano!!

Halloweeeen!

We loooove Halloween at our house!  This year Luke and I dressed up as Adam and Eve, with Brock and Sophie as our Lion and Lamb.  The day before Halloween we went trick or treating at Luke's work and his team loved the kids and wanted to hold them and get pictures with them.  It was so fun!  We didn't get to trick or treat around our neighborhood like we wanted because of the rain, but I was able to take the kids to the Trunk or Treat at Dicks market in the afternoon which was fun.  Can't wait til next year!

I had to take a picture of Sophie in her cute halloween outfit from Grandma Great.  Isn't she just the sweetest?  We love our little Sopher. :)
Brock saw me taking a picture of her and said "Brock hold it tiny baby Sopie?"  He is such a sweet big brother.  He is actually wearing his "coolest big brother" shirt from Grandma Lisa in this pic. :)
Thanks for reading!  Love you all!

Introducing Sophie Claire!!

Sweet Sophie is here!  She was born October 5th at 1:56 pm, weighing 6 lbs 15 oz and 20 1/2 inches!  She came two days before her due date and I went into labor on my own!  woohoo!!  I went into labor at about 5am on the 5th and we got to the hospital around 9am...5 hours later look who we got to meet!
This is my midwife, Machel Knowles.  She was amazing, I seriously would recommend her to anyone.  She was so great and I will definitely be keeping her around!
Sophie is the sweetest little thing EVER!  She is sleeping through the night and has been since she was 2 days old {knock on wood}!  She is quite the little eater and has already gained almost an entire pound in her first 2 weeks of life...her pediatrician hopes she won't continue at this rate...so do I. :)

Seriously how sweet is she?!  I know I am her mom, but you have to admit she is cute!  We are so in love with her and Brock is such a good big brother to his "baby Sopie".  I have tons of other pictures that I tried posting, but my computer hates me today.  Hopefully I can post some more soon!
Welcome Little Sophie!  We love you!!!

About to POP!!

38 weeks
Ok so I didn't think that I would have anything to post about until Sophie was born, but my mom and sisters surprised me with a baby shower on Saturday and it was the cutest shower ever...so I had to post some pics! The theme for the shower was "She's about to POP!" and they had everything pop related. Popcorn, Soda Pop, Lollipops, Ring Pops, Pop Rocks and little signs everywhere that said "Pop on over Sophie!" It was so cute! They made chicken croissant sandwiches, fruit salad, strawberry shortcake trifles, and brownies a la mode (my fav) for dessert. I got some super cute gifts and we all had a fun time. I sure love my marm and sisters...aren't they the BEST?!! Sophie will have a lot of wonderful women to emulate all around her. I also want to thank my mother in law and sisters in law for all of the adorable things they've gotten for her and the huge help they've been in helping me get ready. I am so lucky!! Here are some pics from the shower! The diaper cake was covered in a blanket and burp cloths that my mom hand crocheted the edges on...so cute!My little brother Grant helped my mom design all the cute signs, doesn't it look profesh?
