please pass the brockly!!

Brock is such a snuggle bug and he's just like his mom where he doesn't like light when he's trying to sleep. He's always covering his eyes with his hands or burrowing his head into our arms to keep the light out. It's so cute, my mom says I used to do the same exact thing when I was a baby.

This is brock holding his little silky friend that Mimi got him for Christmas. He also loves the swing Mikey and Jenny bought to keep at Mimi and Papa's and to announce that they're PREGNANT!! yipee brock can't wait to have another cousin! I think they should name their baby Megan, what do you think? :)

Such a Blessing

We blessed Brock on the first sunday of this month and it was so neat. He looked so handsome in the blessing outfit from Grandma Lisa and she also found Luke's baby blessing blanket for us to use. He was so precious and didn't make a peep during the blessing and then just slept through the rest of sacrament meeting and the gathering at our place afterwards. His blessing was beautiful and I realized that I have a lot of work to do to be a good mom and raise him right! He's such a precious boy we just adore him!

I just thought I would mention to anyone who is interested that we're blessing Brock in our ward on Sunday (Jan. 4th) and anyone who would like to come is welcome! Our sacrament meeting starts at 11am and we'll be having food at our place afterward. Our meetinghouse address is 625 South 750 East in Layton, its easy to find but you can get a map on lds.org if you need one. We live almost right across the street from the church so it's real close. Hope everyone had a happy new year and I'll post pictures of Christmas and the blessing soon! Love to all!!

Christmas is coming and Brock is getting fat!!

We put up our tree early this year, a week before Brock was born, because I knew I'd be too busy to put it up once he came...and I was right! Lisa and Gary did most of the work, even though I'd love to take full credit for it! A lady in my relief society presidency asked if it was a dr. suess tree. I've looked long and hard at my tree for something that has to do with dr. suess...green eggs and ham-no, cat in the hat-no, horton the elephant-nope. hm I'll keep looking, let me know if you see something I don't. :)

Brock and the Flinders cousins went to get their Christmas pictures taken in the Christmas outfits Gramdy Lisa bought. I had to take a few pics myself when we got home. He couldn't hold still too good.

His oufit was pretty big but he still looked so handsome! What a nice boy!

Another picture from moms photo shoots, he's such a good boy to pose for mom all day! My sister Brook and her family are coming to Utah this week and we can't wait!!! I'll post some pics of all the cousins next week!! Yipee!

Nothing melts my heart more than to watch Luke with Brock. They adore eachother and it's so sweet to see what a softie Luke has become. When Luke was a little boy he wanted to be just like his dad. His mom bought him a new pair of shorts to wear since it was getting hot outside and Luke wouldn't wear them because he wanted to wear long pants like his dad wore. Lisa had to go out and buy Gary some shorts like Luke's and he would put them on when he got home from work so that Luke would wear his shorts. All little boys want to be just like their daddy and I'm so glad that Brock has Luke to emulate...if he follows in his dad's footsteps then I'll never have to worry. I love my boys!!

Pictures!!

Here he is!! Our internet connection has been being really slow so this is the best we can do right now for pictures...there are of course a hundred more I wanted to post but until my computer gets fixed up this is it! He is such a good natured little guy and he smiles ALL the time, it's hard to catch pictures of it but I'll see if I can post a few later.

These first 3 pics are all in the same day, he just pooped all over his first outfit so we had to change him! It was the BYU-Utah game day so he had to wear his Y hat!


These last 2 pictures were right after he had eaten and I bundled him up tight. He hates having his hands tucked in so you can see in the first one they are down and then in the second one he's pulled them out. We always have to put him in outfits that cover his hands or put little mittens on him because he loves having his hands by his face and sticking his fingers right in his eyes.
