Be Our Guest!!

Luke and I were asked to perform in our old stake's musical revue which is coming up!! There are several fun musicals that will be featured including Joseph, Footloose, Oliver!, Wizard of Oz, High School Musical, Bye Bye Birdie, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Guys and Dolls, and Beauty and the Beast in which Luke is playing Gaston and I'm playing Belle! It's a lot of fun and you can bring your whole family for free! We have 3 performances at the Regional Center in Bountiful on April 1, 2, 3 at 7:00 pm. This is not your typical stake road show...it should be quite entertaining so please feel free to come!! If for nothing else, come see Luke in a ponytail! hehe

Luke took these pics of Brock the other night at Mimi and Papa's...he's always sucking on both of his hands...or a foot in this case. We love our sweetest boy!

We had dinner at Brooke and Gus's new house on sunday with some cousins and took a picture with all the kids from oldest to youngest: Gabe, Izzy, Max, Linc, Zoey, Brock & Josie! It was impossible to get all of them happy and holding still at the same time so this is the best we got...Brock was sandwiched between two cute girls, he was happy! :)

I took this video on his 3 month birthday yesterday, he loves his little einstiens playmat from aunt michelle and lauren! He usually coos and smiles a lot more but this was right before his nap so he just blows a few bubbles. I can't believe how big he's getting...he was swinging in his swing today and I looked over and he was holding on to the tray and pulling himself upright! I have a feeling that his days of staying put are over.....I love my sweetest boy!

2 Blissful Years

Luke and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary yesterday! So much has happened in only two years and time has just flown by! I feel so lucky to have Luke in my life and so grateful that we met almost 3 years ago...here's how it all happened: One day my mom got a call from one of her best friends Michelle Keddington who said she had a guy in her ward that she wanted to set me up with so she gave him my number. Of course this guy was Luke and he didn't realize that his mom had been talking to Michelle and asked her if she knew any cute girls to set Luke up with cause he had recently gotten out of a relationship. So when Michelle approached Luke about asking me out he wasn't too thrilled but decided to be a good neighbor and give me a call. When he called me to ask me out I was not excited to go on another blind date...they just don't work out! After turning him down 2 or 3 times I thought he would just stop calling but he was getting pressure from Michelle to be persistant so he decided to give it one last shot. We both gave in and decided to go out. We had gotten along really well over the phone but I was convinced it would still be a dumb date so I didn't even get ready and boy was I sorry when I opened my door to find Luke standing there in all his good looking glory. We hit it off from the very beginning of the date- I thought he was a jock and he thought I was crazy. It was a match! (I later found out that he was a hilarious and very sweet jock!) We first went to the Olive Garden with a few of his friends and at one point during dinner Luke left for a minute and one of the girls asked me how long Luke and I had been dating...she didn't believe me when I told her it was our first date! We went to hollywood connection but nothing was open so we just hung out and had fun anyway. After the date was over he brought me home and we talked in his car for hours. To secure a second date we picked a special ringtone for me on his phone so he would know when it was me calling to want to see him again. I think he was a little surprised when it was the next day! We were an instant couple and we were together almost every day since then and married in the temple 9 months later. The best part about all this isn't just that I got to marry my best friend (who I am extremely attracted to) but that we now have a little boy to share our love with. If someone asked me 5 years ago where I saw myself 5 years from then, I never could have imagined that my life would be this wonderful right now. I love my amazing husband, happy anniversary my true!!

please pass the brockly!!

Brock is such a snuggle bug and he's just like his mom where he doesn't like light when he's trying to sleep. He's always covering his eyes with his hands or burrowing his head into our arms to keep the light out. It's so cute, my mom says I used to do the same exact thing when I was a baby.

He also loves the swing Mikey and Jenny bought to keep at Mimi and Papa's and to announce that they're PREGNANT!! yipee brock can't wait to have another cousin! I think they should name their baby Megan, what do you think? :)

Such a Blessing

We blessed Brock on the first sunday of this month and it was so neat. He looked so handsome in the blessing outfit from Grandma Lisa and she also found Luke's baby blessing blanket for us to use. He was so precious and didn't make a peep during the blessing and then just slept through the rest of sacrament meeting and the gathering at our place afterwards. His blessing was beautiful and I realized that I have a lot of work to do to be a good mom and raise him right! He's such a precious boy we just adore him!

I just thought I would mention to anyone who is interested that we're blessing Brock in our ward on Sunday (Jan. 4th) and anyone who would like to come is welcome! Our sacrament meeting starts at 11am and we'll be having food at our place afterward. Our meetinghouse address is 625 South 750 East in Layton, its easy to find but you can get a map on lds.org if you need one. We live almost right across the street from the church so it's real close.
