Daddo's Day

Yesterday was Luke's first Father's Day and I want to say how glad I am that Brock has such a wonderful daddo! Luke is so sweet and helpful with Brock and I couldn't imagine a better father for him. I hope Brock follows Luke's example as he grows and turns out to be an amazing man like his daddy. I am so lucky to be married to Luke, thanks hunny for all you do!!

We recently took a trip up to Washington to visit the Brook and Dan fam and I'll post some pics of our trip soon, it was so good to see their family! We love you Blacks!!!

I'm officially terrible at blogging...

...and I'm really sorry! I am going to make a goal of updating my blog more than once a month! Brock is changing so much and getting so big! He has started eating solid foods and he really likes it...so far he's had rice cereal, squash, sweet potatoes and green beans and he's done well with all of them! I just realized I haven't taken any messy face pictures yet...those will come soon!! His little personality is so much fun and he makes us laugh all the time with his faces. He is also becoming a little copy cat it's hilarious. Also I wanna give a shout out to summer cause we are so excited that it's getting so warmer so we can play outside! woot woot!

So Luke took these pictures cause thinks it's really funny how I pull the blanket over my head in the morning to keep the sunlight out so I can go back to bed...well come to find out, Brock is a lot more like his mommy than we all thought....

These were taken at the same time. What Luke doesn't understand is that its not so much about the light in the room, I've just always liked to sleep with blankets over my head. Like mother like son.

Luke taught Brock how to dance and now he can't stop! He is so stinkin cute!...if I do say so myself.... :)

ApRiL UpDaTe

It's been a long time since the last time I posted so here's an update for the whole month! The month started with the stake musical production..there's gaston luke on the left, me blonde belle in the middle and josh madsen as beast on the right.

Belle has a secret crush on Gaston...many people are unaware of this fact.

Luke, me, Brooke, Lisa, Gary, Brianne, Scotty-all of luke's family that were in the production as well...Lisa was the Producer/Director

We were in the show troupe (black & white group) as well. Brianne and Scott are married in case you're wondering, Brooke and Brianne are Luke's sisters. :)

I was also a Hot Box dancer from "Guys and Dolls" and Luke was Dewhurst from "Scarlet Pimpernel"

Lumiere (Byron Clawson), me, Beast (Josh Madsen), Cogsworth (Neldon Maxfield)...these guys were a blast to work with!
Brianne was Mrs. Potts, she sang "Tale as old as time" (she's also preggers with baby Jace coming in June!!!) Now for Easter!! The day before Easter we had a cousins Easter egg hunt and Grandma and Grandpa Flinders house...Brock and his daddy wore their matching shirts for the special occasion! Brock found lots of eggs!

Luke and I were given Jazz tickets a few weeks ago and as we were going up to our seats in the upper bowl a man who worked there stopped us and asked if we wanted to sit in the lower bowl and gave us tickets to some great seats!

Thanks random dude, we had a lot of fun! Oh and the Jazz won that night! Go Jazz!!!

We got to go to St George last week and stay in Luke's aunt's condo and it was so fun to hang out by the pool, shop a little, and just spend time with Luke's fam.

Brock had fun hanging out by the pool, the water was a little too cold so he didn't love the swimming, but we still had fun splashing our toes in the water!

OK so from these posts one would think that we don't spend any time with my side of the family, but my mom was the one watching Brock during the stake musical (which he loved) and we love going down to bountiful to hangout with "mimi and papa" several times a week! We love our families! Thanks for the good times!!

Its Video Time!!

I only caught the tail-end of this little conversation Brock and I were having, but he sure loves to talk! He tries to imitate when I say "Oh Yeah" to him it's so cute. He's now rolling over from his back to his tummy all by himself...which isn't on the video but it's still cute. Now I just have to keep a hand on him at all times so he doesn't get away from me! What a sweet little guy!

Brock does a little giggling in this next video, I had to have Luke record it so Brock wouldn't see the camera...for some reason the second he see's the camera he's done performing....and I'm sorry if I sound annoying in these videos, does anyone else think that their own voice is so annoying when they hear it recorded? Maybe that's why Brock laughs, cause he thinks his mom is a geeker! :P

Be Our Guest!!

Luke and I were asked to perform in our old stake's musical revue which is coming up!! There are several fun musicals that will be featured including Joseph, Footloose, Oliver!, Wizard of Oz, High School Musical, Bye Bye Birdie, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Guys and Dolls, and Beauty and the Beast in which Luke is playing Gaston and I'm playing Belle! It's a lot of fun and you can bring your whole family for free! We have 3 performances at the Regional Center in Bountiful on April 1, 2, 3 at 7:00 pm. This is not your typical stake road show...it should be quite entertaining so please feel free to come!! If for nothing else, come see Luke in a ponytail! hehe

Luke took these pics of Brock the other night at Mimi and Papa's...he's always sucking on both of his hands...or a foot in this case. We love our sweetest boy!

We had dinner at Brooke and Gus's new house on sunday with some cousins and took a picture with all the kids from oldest to youngest: Gabe, Izzy, Max, Linc, Zoey, Brock & Josie! It was impossible to get all of them happy and holding still at the same time so this is the best we got...Brock was sandwiched between two cute girls, he was happy! :)
